How to: Create a shadowed box in a report.
Solution:
Click 'Reports' tab in the Database window and select the desired report. Click 'Design'. Select the control to edit and choose 'Shadowed' from the 'Special Effects' drop-down list on the Formatting toolbar.
NOTE: If the Database window is not active, activate the Database window.
1) Click the 'Report' tab in the Database window.

2) Select the desired report from the list box. (The selected report is highlighted.)
3) Click 'Design'. (The selected report appears in the design view.)
4) Single-click the control to edit. (Handles appear around the control.)
5) Single-click the down arrow to the right of the 'Special Effect' from the Formatting toolbar. (A preview of the six special effects appears.)
6) Single-click the 'Shadowed'. (The button appears depressed and the control object has a shadow box.)
NOTE: The shadowed box effect appears in the left portion of the 'Special Effects'.)

7) (Optional) To adjust the thickness of the shadowed box:
a) Single-click the down arrow to the right of the 'Border Width' from the Formatting toolbar. (A preview of the border widths appears.)
b) Single-click the desired border width. (The selected button appears depressed an the control object now shows the desired effect)
NOTE 1: The selected border width appears in the left portion of the 'Border Width'.

NOTE 2: Additional Special Effects to add to a control are: raised, sunken, etched, and chiseled.
